Tuition Fees

UoA tuition fees for Indigenous Ambazonians are currently maintained at US $ 250 per Year for Undergraduate Programmes (Bachelor Degrees), US $500 per Year for Postgraduate Programmes (Master Degrees, MPhil Degrees) and US $1000 per Year for Doctorate Degrees and DPhil.

UoA tuition fees for international students are currently maintained at US $ 500 per Year for Undergraduate Programmes (Bachelor Degrees), US $1000 per Year for Postgraduate Programmes (Master Degrees, MPhil Degrees) and US $1500 per Year for Doctorate Degrees and DPhil.

Accommodation

UoA always assist international students to help them get accomodations of high standards. UoA provides help and advise in securing private accomodation for international students prior to their arrival. The Cities of Bamenda and Buea always have affordable and comfortable accomodations available at short notice for students and international professionals.

Make a Friend Programme

Prior to your arrival the Student Services would arrange and introduce to you local students of your department or faculty to help you get to know other students, make friends and settle in. The UoA also arranges special tour programmes of touristic attractions like visits to Palaces and Nearby Towns.

Study Permit (Student Visa)

At the moment foreign students can obtain a student visa or student permit upon arrival at any Port of entry in Ambazonia provided they have the following:

  • Letter of acceptance from the University of Ambazonia
  • Proof of accommodation e.g. undertaking by a local institution to provide accommodation
  • Proof of payment of fees
  • Copy of birth certificate/passport biodata page
  • Chest X-ray report
  • 2 passport size photos
  •  Non refundable fee of US$20.00 for student’s permit application EXTENSION OF STUDENT PERMIT. Below are the requirements for extension/renewal of student permit:
  • Letter from University of Ambazonia indicating continuity of studies
  • Copy of previous term/semester results
  •  Non refundable fee of US$20.00 for student permit extension.

*NB. The law requires all international students to ensure that their study permits are valid at all times for the duration of their studies. A study permit must be renewed within 30 days prior to expiry. Please contact the International Relations Office for assistance with your visa application processes.

Orientation Programme

It is advisable that as a foreign student you arrive in time for the Orientation programme organised by UoA. This is normally organized one week before the commencement of the academic year or semester so as to ensure students participate and get acquainted with the new environment before commencement of studies. It gives room for foreign students to get familiarised with the Cities and transport networks. Being use to the culture and way of life of the Indigenous People of Ambazonia is also a plus.
